Ceramic Seconds - Old Models - Paint Palette - For watercolor, oil, acrylic and gouache color mixing
These are my ceramic seconds, they are an earlier model where I glazed them completely white, there are no major flaws with these, I just dont intend to make them like this in future
These palettes are handmade by me at my home in Ireland, they made of anthricite grogged clay which is naturally dark and are each unique in their minor imperfections.
There are two kinds available
These are all perfect, they are just not the kind I intend to make going forward ...
Round palette - 8 wells, 130mm across
Square palette - 10 wells, 125mm x 175mm
The palettes are made of stoneware which is more durable than earthenware and are heated to a temperature 1150 °C, and thus acquire their ceramic properties – hardness, thermal and water resistance.
Thanks to the white glazing – colour floating and mixing is easy, as the white background helps to mix the right colour shade and you can use any type of artist paint.
